Depicted on the middle section of the east Parthenon Frieze is the culmination of the Panathenaia festival: the handing over of the peplos, the gift of the Athenians to the goddess Athena. To the left and right of the scene, the twelve gods of Mt. Olympus are seated. In this booklet information is given about the Parthenon as well as about the gods and their qualities. The pupils try to identify the gods and find their symbols.
